A nurse who's been where you are.
At 16, I weighed 242 pounds. No roadmap, no coach, no idea where to start — just the realization that something had to change. What followed was 14 years of experimentation, education, and lived experience across nutrition science, strength and endurance training, recreational competition, and bedside nursing.
That journey didn't just change my body. It became the foundation of everything I now teach. I've competed in recreational powerlifting, finished a 100km ultramarathon, run the Philadelphia Marathon twice, and coached CrossFit at Penn State — while working bedside as a registered nurse.
I know what it means to build health around a demanding schedule, because I've never had the luxury of an easy one. Life never gets less busy. And the best time to get started is now.

I didn't stumble into coaching. Every credential, every race, every shift is part of a deliberate pursuit of understanding how the human body works — and how to get the most out of it under real-world conditions.
My clinical background as an RN gives me a lens that most coaches simply don't have: I understand physiology, pharmacology, the stress response, sleep architecture, and what chronic occupational stress does to the body over time. Combined with a Kinesiology degree and ongoing graduate study in Nutrition Sciences, the coaching I provide is grounded in evidence, not trends.

Hey! I’m Mike,
As an RN and Nurse Coach, I understand the obstacles healthcare workers face in achieving a healthy lifestyle; long hours, stress, irregular schedules, unhealthy work culture, the list goes on.
Personally, I understand the challenges of maintaining a balanced lifestyle from my personal journey, as well as coaching others. At 16, I weighed 242 pounds. One day I had the realization I needed to course correct. Over the past 14 years, through exploring different diets, different ways of training, becoming a coach, and continuing education, I've developed my concept of a healthy life.
My ultimate goal is to share what I’ve learned through education, accountability, and coaching to help healthcare workers achieve healthier lives, and reshape the culture of our industry.
While healthcare culture is my focus, I work with clients from all walks of life. As a Nurse Coach, I address your wellness from a clinical background with a holistic framework. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, pursue a new habit, or just learn how to properly take care of yourself, I’m your guy.
